Julian Zehnder

Drawn to biodiverse soundscapes, Julian Zehnder is an artist and composer whose work centres on the intersection of installation, performance and composition.

Among others, Zehnder’s works have been shown at Jewish Museum New York, Kunsthalle Basel, De Appel Museum Amsterdam, Swiss Art Awards, Arsenal Contemporary Arts Gallery New York, Crash Club Warsaw, Festival Electroacoustique Monaco and Creative Media Center Hong Kong. He won several competitions such as the Bronze Award at 3D Audio Production Competition in Ambisonics 2021, the ZHdK Grant Award 2022 and the Nicati – De Luze Scholarships 2023/24. After graduating in Music Composition with a BA of honours at Zurich University of the Arts in 2022, he completed a MFA in Sound Art at Columbia University New York in May 2024.
